Yesterday Baby Kitty was curled up by my legs on the couch sound asleep when suddenly she sat up and looked as if she saw somebody standing behind me. I jerked around to see what she was looking at. There was a doorway behind me and there could have been somebody there, though to my knowledge there was only me the cat and the dog in the house. Of course nothing was there. I jumped off the couch and stood watching her. Whenever I move suddenly like that she springs to the floor but she just sat there like a stone cat her eyes still fixed on something I could not see.
"Come on Baby Kitty, time for a treat," I said. But even the magic word didn't seem to penetrate for a couple seconds. Then she was up and off the couch and the moment was gone leaving me to ponder what she had seen that made her look as if she had actually turned white faced and frozen.
