Every Christmas I use this same tablecloth and put a piece of plastic over it, after the dishes are cleared away and the plastic is removed everybody signs and decorates the tablecloth. It will be quite an heirloom someday.
I guess I should add that I have a glass top table so the marker washes right off when I remove the tablecloth.
