Running across the picture of this lantern that I took a few days ago made me think of a night I went to the barn with my aunt and held the lantern while she milked the cows.
I remembered that a calf peeked around its mother's legs like a small child would do and that I had a picture like that of a calf that I took last summer so I cut the calf from it and added it to the scene.
I don't remember now why we had to use the lantern because there was electric in the barn but there must have been a power failure of some kind.
