Alfred was the son of Horace and Betty Alderman (who came to Michigan from New York in 1834)
Of their four children only Alfred lived a long life.
Firman married Eva Douglas they had 1 son Glen
Addie married George W. Clark nephew of Linus Clark.
Betsy Alderman "Aunt Betsy" was a revered figure and lived to the advanced age of 99.
She died in December of 1915 and was buried in the Free Will Baptist Cemetery on 8 mile rd.
