Copy of Original East Baptistery door of Lorenzo Ghiberti made of gilded bronze 1425-1450.
These doors are popularly known as "Gates of Paradise", a title given them by Michelangelo.
The 10 panels depict Old Testament stories from the Bible.
The original panels were removed for restoration and safekeeping to Museo dell' Opera del Duomo
following the 1966 flood in Florence.They can be seen in the Museo just behind the Duomo.
