These tourists took advantage of a ledge on street level beside the massive Strozzi Palace,
to rest and watch their bags, while waiting for a ride to the train station.
The rustication of the massive stones is characteristic of many Renaissance Palazzos constructed
during the 15th century.
The ledge was probably used for riders dismounting from horses, who could be tethered to the large rings
seen above the girls.
Other image of the Strozzi palace can be found on my other Florence galleries.
