why you need a w-a lens on safari.jpg

I find that I use my wide angle zoom almost as much as a tele on safaris, because frequently animals walk right by the van
and there is no way you can get a close shot without a wide lens.
The shadow at the bottom of the image is the back of the van roof where I was shooting.
I left it in the picture here to show how close the animals can come by the vans.

Dynamite shot, Carolyn. I was on safari in Amboseli and Ngorogoro back in 1971 and NEVER saw a lion (or any cat, for that matter). From your gallery, it looks like you had an abundance of sightings of all types. Your gallery makes me want to go back ... Voted
