The Halters are braided out of Camel hair in Mongolia. His halter isn't trailing a rope, just a piece of left over braiding dangling.....is my guess. These foals were lucky to be in a very grassy area. (The Phototgrapher)

Did this little guy break is halter? Looks like maybe a rope trailing. I really like this picture, foals very sharp in forground.
