The horses of Mongolia are all free grazing. Much of the land is overgrazed or sparse due to drought and the amount of animals grazing. The majority of this herd had a nice grassy lake area to water at but the size of the herds using the area were huge. The vast herds of horses share the land with goats, sheep, yaks, cows and wildlife.
