Polygala myrtifolia is a common, widespread pioneer shrub with pretty mauve flowers on and off throughout the year with a peak in spring,
hence the names Augustusbossie and September bush (Eng)., blouertjie, langelede (Afr.)

Lovely shot and well described by Yvonne. This shrub is well known here in Victoria, it runs wild in many parts. Seen often along the beaches. I think it originated in South Africa, it's not a native shrub of Australia. V.
