_EED2645 detail

This is a heavy crop, but it shows the sort of detail that can be resolved with a decent macro lens, a bit of extension (20mm) and a D200 body. Good lighting helps, and there's the willing subject, and there you have it.

As per Steve's comment, below... No coercion, honest! The fly was on the flowers as I was shooting bees, and he hung out long enough to shoot a few frames. He was flattered, as a matter of fact! Eric
