SHIRLEY POTTS, 74, died Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. Graveside services were held 11 a.m., February 24, 2009 in the Canton Cemetery, Canton, MS. Breeland Funeral Home handled arrangements. Mrs. Potts was a native and lifelong resident of Memphis. She graduated Cum Laude from Memphis State University. She was a teacher for Memphis Public Schools for 25 years.She is survived by her sister, Te Sutherland of Canton. She loved and enjoyed her nieces, Beth Needham and Julie Thompson.
