Daughter-in-law Karen; Son Sam, "Cap'n Sam;" Daughter Anne, "Precious;" Grandaughter "Miss Gillian;" Sweet wife Frances; old fat man; and Daughter Callie, "Sunshine."

Kit teaches journalism-mass communication at UT-Chattanooga. Wife, Frances, is an English professor at UTC. Frances' speciality is children's and young adult literature.

Son Sam is a graduate of Georgia Tech and works as a computer engineer in Atlanta. Daughter Callie graduated from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. She works in Atlanta. 18-year-old Annie, is a student at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
