|(This is a response from Sue Dillard to our realizing that Walter
Reed Hospital will not acknowledge items sent to unnamed wounded and ill
Another or rather alternative to the cards to Walter Reed Hosp. is to go to www.anysoldier.com There you can go to the state you are interested in and find the real name and address (once you decide if you want to help that particular unit) of a unit and they will usually list specific needs, etc. Then go to the post office and get one or more of the flat rate boxes and fill them to capacity with things you have purchased for the unit. You are told not to expect a thank you but I received a beautiful thank you note and will certainly send more "goodies".
Also, I'm interested in the cruise if I can convince Helen Moore Maroon to go with me.
