Just a note of interest.....
While on my first trip to NY City (can you believe it - I've been many places, but never NY City).
my girlfriends and I made it down to the Today show where as luck would have it, Reba McIntyre was
performing in the Toyota Concert Series. We entered a contest, along with several hundred other
attendees, and would you believe, my name was drawn out of the barrel and I was pulled onstage and
interviewed by Matt Lauer (quite a looker) Katie Couric and of course, Reba herself. I won an
all expense paid trip to her concert in Indianapolis, IN complete with limo rides everywhere, first
class air accommodations and to say the least, no expense was spared! What a trip that was! I
chose a friend to accompany me and we were whisked off from the show to a private lunch with Reba
and friends, then to the airport to head for the rest of the festivities. While in Indianapolis,
we were treated to yet another grand dinner, all sort of VIP goodies, backstage passes to see Brad
Paisley,
Teri Clark and of course, Reba. Our hotel accommodations were top of the line! Lots of pics were
taken, and I might say, this was one Friday the 13th, I'll never forget. I am to receive
professional pics of me and Reba along with a tape of the show. Looks like I made it to the big time
on National TV after all. What an experience! (wish I had purchased a lottery ticket that day)!
