Come Full Circle

As we wandered through Ubin Island on foot, we came across an old chinese cemetery hidden away in a quiet part of the forest. This modest granite tomb caught my eye. I shot this from the top because this vantage point allows us to see the circular curves of this tomb, which to me express the cyclical nature of life. The red also reminds me of life-giving blood and the dead leaves punctuate the end of a life.

The curves of the leaves echo the soft curves of the headstone and tomb enclosure, which, in turn, echo the cycle of life featured in your symbolic approach.
