An adult elephant walks through the grasses of the Masai Mara with a baby, trailing behind but keeping very close. Although not all mammals show that much closeness between parent and offspring, elephants who have a gestational period of a long 22 months, is understandibly very protective of their offspring. It is often very warming to see such motherly love and closeness among animals - something that we all humans can relate to, even if they are just animals.
