Ruins are sprinkled throughout Tunisia, even on the island of Jerba. Meninx is an ancient site that was first built by the Phoenicians and later rebuilt by the Romans. Very little remains in Meninx now and only a few pieces of colourful marble and column bases can be found here. The site is unmarked and left as they are without any protection. It was strange being able to drive right up to the broken, marble columns and park your car right in the Roman site itself.
