Thanks Dandan for the link to your image. It's so interesting to see another viewpoint of the same place through other photographers' eyes. Both our images are similar in that our subjects are both looking beyond the historical past. My image is not so much about the power of nature's destruction but about the rise and fall of empires and the inevitable changes that man face culturally and historically. These three men have come to visit this ancient site but they're also spending a long time looking at the valley below, beyond which is the current modern Tunisia. This site is high up above everyone else, suggesting power and importance. Yet it is in ruins. Although this site is an important part of the Tunisian heritage and history, these three men look ahead into the future. Tunisia has, and will move on.

Cecilia, this image remains me of mine:http://www.pbase.com/celestine/image/39800744 When I made that one, I was really wanted to create a sense of history, current and maybe future of human being; while no matter how hard we try, the nature will also has the upper hand of all
Were you saying the same?
