Much of this Ksar Ouled Soltane has been restored and resurfaced using cement rather than the traditional materials, but the peculiar architecture with their dwarf-sized palm doors and cute, narrow stairways that weave up and down and around like a 3-dimensional maze are all still there. It was this character of the ksour that I found infinitely fascinating.
