M42 - Great Orion Nebula

Kitt Peak, Tucson, AZ

5 minute exposure at ISO800 using a TeleVue 76 Apochromatic Telescope (480mm, f6.3), piggybacked on a 16"RC Telescope on a Paramount Equatorial drive. Taken from Kitt Peak on Tuesday October 16th at about 2:00 AM.

Very nice! It would be interesting to see a comparative shot through the Richey-Cretien on the Paramount as well. Might end up being just the Trapezium! :-)
