Bohemian Waxwings
by dawn

I know this isn't the greatest photo, but it is the first
photo of birds I ever attempted, and only the second time
I've used the 300mm (and I needed that TC I'm about to order).

Excellent exposure control to get detail in the waxwings against a bright plain background

Dawn I love this and can empathise your eagerness, I was the same when I got my new 300 lens. Lovely birds, I really enjoy seeing birds from other continents, although we have different and beautiful birds in OZ I think there can never be too many birds. Just love them all so much,

Wonderful composition - this image would be ideal for a caption competition ... "Left a bit more ... aim ... fire!"
