Osprey with Catch

Tarpon Springs, FL

I was on the Sponge Docks today and an Osprey flew past me with a fish in it's talons. The bird landed on the rigging of a nearby fishing boat and proceded to eat it's catch. You can see the leg feathers are still wet.

Nice detail. Your exposure is perfect to get all the details out of the whites without blowing them.

I've never seen an osprey this close up. We had one in the woods below us, but it seems to have moved on.
