Looking for Food

As I was driving this morning, I saw two Sandhill Cranes wading in a drainage ditch. I turned around and parked across from the ditch. The bird showed no fear of me at all. I was able to get as close as 12 feet from them.

Great catch! I don't think I've been as as close as 12 miles from a Sand Hill Crane to my knowledge.
