The last comment was mine. Forgot to log off and back on after posting. Also, my wife pointed out to me that the ball does have a color coating that causes the color effects. How would I know, I just take the pitchers.
Thanks for the compliment, but all I did was point the camera and press the button, brought it into photoshop, slight s curve and used the new smart sharpen in PS CS 2 (neat new filter), saved as jpeg and posted. The color effects are a byproduct of the curvature of the glass ball and the imperfections dispersing the light waves.
