I agree Bruce. The deer was caught as we were in the car. I was in the passenger seat and the deer was kinda moving slowly. I was happy just to be able to open the car door w/o scaring him away as I got out the camera. It must have took me atleast 30 seconds, but he stayed just long enough for two shots. Thx for the suggestions. :-)

A good rule to remember is light against dark, dark against light. Here the deer's head disappears into the background. It would have shown up better if you had moved just a little to the left to better line up the head against the dark background.
