The secret with this type of shot (i think) is to get a car or two or three to drive right thro the frame.
No filters used so had to wait till dusk to get a 30 second exposure.
This is two fotos merged into one, the white trails and red trails of light are two different fotos.

A wonderful image ... conveys a greater sense of movement than if the cars themselves were visible
