This is Chatsworth Reservoir, actually on fire on the second evening. Back behind
the flames is a residential community. After spending a couple of hours here, things
tamed down a bit.
I walked here from my house at around 7 pm. Nordhoff St. ends here at the Reservoir.
There is another street that intersects it, and carries traffic southerly up into a
hilly residential area. Lots of Motorcycle Officers (LAPD) and some LA County Fire
Personnel were here along with myself and a few other people that came to see what
all of the smoke was about.
The Fire and Police guys were very sweet and friendly.. Some wanted their pictures
taken, so I was relieved that I didn't need to be annoying in order to capture a few
of Los Angeles' Finest.. I am truly proud and grateful to all of them for their very
heroic efforts.
