January 13 - 1:08 p.m.

I just got my macro lens in the mail from eBay and was excited to test it out. I took a photo of the same flower bed where I found the flower on January 8 and did some hand-held shots. However, it was a very grey day and it was hard to get enough light. Still, I was happy with the way this turned out anyway - even though it's slightly out of focus. Will do more with the lens using a tripod.

I really like taking this type of shot, I don't try and take it of anything particular but a focus point, then mostly the colour is what counts.........love it!!!

Very beautiful - so soft and gentle !

I agree that the soft look really works on this particular shot. I think the composition is excellent, with the lines of the petals leading us to the corner and just a little bit of background. Good job.

The 105 is a very versatile lens. Just make sure you use a tripod for sharp images!

I think it stands very nice as it is Christina.
A tripod will get you better details but this is beautiful as is.
