This photograph was taken from the roof of an eleven story condo on Lake Erie's southern coast last spring.
Out of the corner of my eye I spotted this large falcon rocketing towards me.
With my finger on the shutter button, I swung the camera up to my eye, gave it about 1 second to auto focus, then pulled the trigger.
I was very lucky to have obtained this result... a sure testament to the speed and accuracy of the Nikon D70.
