Someone needs to raise Noah from the dead and get him started on that Ark design of his. We are going to float away. I actually like a rainy day here and there, especially during the spring season as it tends to expedite the entire process. This has gotten out of hand, I've never seen the river this high! There is standing water on all the roads etc etc. There are places up in Alexandria that have multiple feet of water in the streets. Pretty crazy.
I had taken a little bit of a break from taking pictures during the honeymoon and wedding and all that, but this week I have been carrying the camera around and was hoping to get some cool shots along the river as the shad are (well, maybe not anymore) running right now. I left work and just wasn't feeling it. I am always tempted to take a picture of the windshield during a rain storm, but I have seen it too many times and always talk myself out of it. I caved today and just to make myself feel better I dug out a speed light and some different colored gels and tried to make it a little more interesting.
Here are a couple others I took of the water on the windshield. This one was originally going to be uploaded in the place of the one you're currently looking at actually. http://www.pbase.com/ccasey/image/155452199
And here are the pictures of what all the rain has done to the Rappahannock. http://www.pbase.com/ccasey/rappahannock_river
