Juncos breed abundantly along the trails up Mt. Rogers. As we walked along the Mt. Rogers and Appalachian Trails, we constantly flushed brooding females(?) off their nests, and were able to find the nests under little bunches of grass right by the side of the trail. I took photos of three of them, each representing a different stage of Junco development.
