This overlook is just over a mile past the Kalalau Lookout, but the newly paved road
was still closed to vehicle traffic, and you have to walk...about 20-25 minutes to
reach it. It is very late afternoon now, about 5:30 p.m. We are overlooking the Kalalau
valley, the largest on the Na Pali coast, and is only accessible via an 11-mile hike or
by kayak. One guidebook calls this one of the greatest views in the Pacific, and I'd
have to agree.
