I remember playing with this pump many times on our visits to Grandpa and Grandma Bechtold
on the farm. You could take the top cover off the pump and see the long loop of chain with
the buckets attached that dipped the water out of the cistern and then dumped it into the
trough to the spout as they turned over the top. I can still remember the sound that pump
made as you cranked the handle and turned the chain.
