Powers Hill Road is a bushy crescent that makes a delightful 3-kilometre detour off the C482. It is best driven from north to south so that the hillside is on your left and the steep valley is on your right.
The road is littered with tree debris, including twigs that turn out to be sturdier than they look from a distance. Be careful what you drive over. A small branch once lodged itself in my car's undercarriage and was difficult to dislodge.
