4 Luang Prabang

After my Mekong River cruise I spent a few days in Luang Prabang, where I took in the sights: street stalls, Buddhist temples, the fresh produce market, Royal Palace, Phou Si (hill in the centre of town) and some superb restaurants. I was also lucky to see a spectacular street parade staged to mark Luang Prabang's winning a tourism award for best destination.
Then I went further north by bus to Nong Khiaw.
