Sharing Soap

No Sure

Miles, Patricia, and Brian - I'm not sure but I think this was taken in Niagra Falls, NY around 1965, but could have been as late as 1967 or 1968 in Frankfurt Germany. Not a care in the world except playing in the soap suds. Boy, life was grand.

There was a time of pure innocence and fun, cherished moments of ones youth. This came with no wonder of tomorrow and wasn't done for water conservation, or because ones parents had to rush the mothering, and fathering chores to hold on to two jobs, or aquire begging time for rest, a time when children were more our delight than our concern, these concerns not necessarily presented by them, yet amongst our world. A time where there was a dinner table and family to join, and the struggle was not overbearing but a willing drive. Toy's were shared and not 39.00 to $129.00+. One could wear ones brothers shoes or thiers till it nearly holed and they two were not 39.00 to $200.00. Hair cuts were simple and mommys braids were fine and not the beauty shops and barbers 20-$200. A house could have one bathroom and family could live together. Soap was by bar, and not in the type of many liquid and perfumed from 3.99 to 65.00. The bar of legal was respected far more and less were matters taken in by ones own hands. Judgement far less common and respected upon heads non bearing white wigs. The phone in center was were sister and brother were , just a phone call away, you could even talk to them through a can and a string, with no monthly plan. But with one amongst this photograph there was a time, when his love was priceless, friendship and caring endless, that my friend, lives, and is yet true today. And for those of us willing so are the simple things and wonderful things, that have no price, that contain unlimited sharing and caring. And unconditionally so. Share the soap of life, wash away the tears and respect and care for time will pass, and the tomorrows hold no promise, the yesterdays are unchangeable, the todays yours to mark, and the tomorrows with hope however affected non the less, by the befores. $300,000. can nearly by you a house today, before you might have seemed to be able to by the world. We are yet the child, for we are the same people as before, things may have chnaged and be changing we don't necessarily have to, for no matter how hard we work, how many cars we have, peace and love are yet still amongst the most valuable assets. So lather up , rinse the soul of wonders, appreciate, and no matter the worries and needs, tomorrow may come. Share the Soap of life, in the eyes it will not always be tearless, but one can see clear again.
