3rd January First Heat.

Back to Work tomorrow :-(
I spent my last day of freedom chopping and stacking logs which gave me their first heat (a stiff back and blisters!!).
I know it's a bit late in the season to be chopping wood but we still have a good stock of seasoned Birch which will keep us going through the winter.

Like the use of selective colour, those logs make a nice patterned background. Think yourself lucky - I had to go back to work today... and it wasn't a pretty sight. ;-)

Nice shot James, I like the colourful axe against the logs. It must be lovely to have a roaring log fire - worth all the effort, no? :o)
