Trains were a joyous part of my childhood. I lived in an idyllic village 35 miles due west of Montreal. I have memories of walking up the station road to meet my dad and walking home holding his hand. The Canadian Pacific Railroad served our community. As children we would stand beside the tracks and wave to the engineer. The personable conductor knew us individually and called us by our first names as he punched our tickets and confetti littered the train's floor.
This freight train is taken in British Columbia. I've used the filter Alien Skin to achieve this artistic effect.
