Mum and older calf!

This herd of cows had older calves, this one was still trying to suckle from mum, when she would'nt let him he tried to take her grass!
I loved the pained and bored expression on her face!

She's got a problem now, when baby has gone she will have to give her milk to the farmer twice a day.

I can recommend empty-nesting!

Bovine-tastic capture. Would you like to apply to join the Cow topic, Caz?:

Very, very cute. There is a lot of noise coming from the cows in the field next to us - we can't work out if they've just had their calves taken away or if the bull is in!!!

I saw a mum cow get fed up with her older calf once and toss it onto the bonnet of a passing car! (Car going slow, calf was fine, car wasn't!)
