Gallery:Impressions of Nature

My favorite artists have always been the impressionists. In this gallery, I've attempted to get that look using several techniques. I first shot at very slow shutter speeds and shot on a windy day. I also tried moving the camera or zooming the lens. For me it was great fun! I really liked the impressions that I caught.

One of the odd techniques that the photographer and teacher Bobby Lane (International Center of Photography) taught me was what she called dragging the shutter. viz. use a slow shutter speed and twist the camera body from vertical to horrizonal while the shutter is in operation. The technique creates a really neat effect, I think that you might like it.
