I was gardening and I took a shortcut through a garden and under the deck and looked up and saw my dogwood from the back side. Against the blue sky it was amazing! I went and grabbed my camera to get some images. I needed my 18-200 lens since the 70-300 was much too long. It was hard to isolate even one branch against the sky without other branches getting in the way. I could also go up on the deck and shoot down on some flowers, but I liked the flowers best against the blue sky. We had very cool, dry, weather with a dewpoint in the 20's so we really did have a blue, blue sky. It's too expensive to drive anywhere lately so I shoot what I see in my yard, much at the spur of the moment, as this shot was.
