This is another of our winter invaders. This is a male pine grosbeak. They have been coming to the same crabapple tree for weeks. They are unafraid of people so one can stand quite close to the tree to photograph them. Birds and photographers have been coming from all around to see and photograph these birds. It's been 7 or 8 years since we last had these northern Canadian birds. It's a life bird for me. They were great fun to watch. I have more images of them in my perching bird gallery.
