Cooper's Hawk

It happened again! I went by the front window and there sat this hawk about 15' away. I had just brought my equipment in after a day of shooting, so I ran to the room where I keep it and grabbed a camera with a short 18-200mm lens but with vibration reduction, came back and got off 5 frames before he flew away. He didn't catch anything like the one did last year. I have a new book to identify hawks, so I hope I did identify it correctly. Last time I didn't have the tail in the image, which does help differentiate between Cooper's and Sharp Shin.

Very nice image Carol! I'm going to have to plant a crab apple tree in my back yard.
