I was outside gardening all day. At one point I realized I had a new visitor to my feeders. I could approach very closely. Finally, I set up my camera and tripod on some steps not 10 feet from the feeder and sat and waited. I had four pairs of grosbeaks come. I just sat quietly and took images with no blind. Many different birds came very close. The secret is to move very slowly. I think the birds are used to seeing me outside so some have lost much of their fear.
