Common Gallinule Eating Loosestrife

This was a behavior I had not seen before with a Common Gallinule. It climbed up the cattail to get to the loosestrife flowers which it was eating. I like capturing behaviors I've not seen before.

Interesting.....I wonder if it was eating the flowers or insects that were on the flowers ?
