Yes, this is the color the snow was because it was just toward sunset and the light was very warm. In yesterday's image I was using the shift feature of my lens. This time I was using the tilt feature to work with depth of field. Excellent directions for using the tilt feature can be found on the Nikon website under Explore and Learn. Rob Planck has an article and at the end of it he gives the steps he uses for tilt. I found it most helpful!
