I put this image on for the behavior it exhibited. There were three female wood ducks with their broods in this area. When a baby from someone else's brood came too close to her and her babies, the mother Wood Duck went after the offending baby and tried to bite it. Luckily, the baby was too fast for her and the Mama Wood Duck did not hurt the baby. I was really surprised at this behavior. I could see it if it were another adult female invading her space, but not a baby.
