With a size of 33cm this is the largest Laughingthrush of the 9 species found in Thailand. Similar looking to the more common Lesser Necklaced but slightly larger and has a distinct dark line under the ear-coverts. Lives in forested areas but comes out into openings if there is food. Always in flock and highly gregarious (social). Mixes with other lauhgingthrushes (like Lesser and White-crested).
