Lam Pak Bia research station, 26th and 28th January 2009

A short visit to the Lam Pak Bia research station (two afternoons). Here we have many large pools of waste water which attracts a lot of water birds like Egrets, Herons, Kingfishers and also shorebirds.

Carl-Johan,
I thank you for allowing us to view your fine photos. They are an ornithological resource for so many of us that are involved in bird and habitat conservation. Anybody objecting to any photographer wishing to protect his intellectual property, simply has no idea of existing laws in merit, nor do they have any idea of the expense and effort involved in procuring such photos. I certainly agree with you Carl-Johan, in finding such gratuitous remarks out of place.

Well if I can't put my name on the picture without making it distracting and annoying then I'll rather not post at all. And no, I don't have much respect for such comments. I checked some other photographers which all put their names onto the pictures, often in a much more distracting way that I do and I couldn't find any comments about the copyright and annoyance.

Who cares about revealing the name ? I am someone else (not the initial guest poster) and I too find the copyright distracting and annoying. It's just an opinion and you should respect that.

I don't agree with you Guest (why don't you reveal your real name to start with). My copyright notices is quite discrete and nothing compared to the notices other photographers put into their pictures. If you don't like them, don't come here then. It's my pictures and I put the notices I think is necessary to make it more difficult to steal a picture. Many people have asked me if they can use my pictures for different purposes and I have granted *ALL* of them to use my pictures, some even at full resolution. Stop whining.
